Zero Zhang

Zhang, born and raised in Beijing, is a keen movie enthusiast and a production design student. She graduated from China's Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree in architecture. She studied in Finland and attended joint studios in Cornell University and Westminster University, exploring culture and technology of spatial design on varied scales. After graduation, she worked as a commercial architect for CallisonRTKL, an architectural design consulting company. She also worked for Heibai, a local drama troupe in Hangzhou, China, as a scenic designer and stage photographer on productions of Orphan of Zhao, Twelfth Night and The Marriage of Figaro, and for three years assisted in lighting, acting, producing and stage management with other productions. She has recently been working on the conceptual design and production design for several short films with her AFI peers.
