Zan de Spelder

Lighting designer de Spelder, currently located in Missouri, is working toward a professional career in lighting for dance and theater. She received her bachelor’s degree in theatre and philosophy from Albion College in 2018 and recently received her MFA in lighting design. Her most recent credits include assistant lighting designer for Rachael Cady on Frankenstein: A Ghost Story, part of the KCRep's New Works Festival; and lighting designer for The White Rose at the Coterie Theatre. During this time away from the theater, de Spelder has been working on some small dance productions and rendering projects. She was the 2018 Don Childs Award recipient for her lighting design on a production of On the Verge, and has worked in and out of the country, and on touring shows.
