Born in Los Angles and raised in Wisconsin, Delgado grew up loving fashion. She drew clothes and characters as soon as she was able to hold a crayon, and later was frequently in the art room or sewing lab working on everything from cosplays to corsets to cat beds. At the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, from which she graduated in 2017, she studied costume design for the stage, fell in love with designing for dance and gained a newfound appreciation for the little black dress. Since then, she has worked for the Des Moines Metro Opera in their costume shop, Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, Calif., and designed for the Long Beach Opera Company for a collaboration with CSULB. In conjunction with her MFA, she is graduating with special awards for creative honors.
