Barker is a scenic designer and theater artist from Houston. He received his MFA from the UMKC Conservatory this year and his BA in theatre arts from Texas A&M University in 2013. In Houston, he worked for three seasons at the Alley Theatre, first as stage crew, then as staff scenic carpenter. He also designed scenery for Equity and experimental companies, including The Ensemble Theatre, Queensbury Theatre and Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Co. He is interested in all manners of immersive design, including installations, exhibits, interiors and game design.
