Juli Reed

A Laguna Beach, Calif., native, Reed studied studio art as an undergraduate at San Francisco State University. After graduation, she moved to New York City to pursue a career as a painter but discovered that she wasn’t fulfilled working in the world of fine art, so she began to branch out into film and television. She became an industrial scenic in USA 829 and worked on numerous network TV shows, including Saturday Night Live. While working as an industrial scenic, Reed was able to observe various jobs within the art department and came to the realization that she wanted to design the sets she was painting. To learn the skills needed to become a production designer, she decided to attend graduate school. Reed recently added the scenic design category to her USA 829 membership.
