New is a costume designer and artisan from Atlanta. She just received her MFA in costume design and technology and previously graduated magna cum laude from Troy University with a BS in theatre. She most recently designed Blood Wedding (UMKC), Master Harold and the Boys (Kansas City Actors Theatre) and Secret Soldiers: Heroines in Disguise (Coterie Children’s Theatre). Summers for New include working at regional theaters including Utah Shakespeare Festival. In her free time, she enjoys painting, hiking and gardening. She will be returning to the Atlanta area this summer to begin working as a freelance designer and artist.
