deladurantaye is a multimedia artist, activist and designer with a primary focus in clothing, collage and moving image art. They work to explore the human condition and seek to archive queer and trans experiences through clothing, video and textiles. They are interested in eliminating all binaries, working towards abolition, and using radical listening and connectivity as actions of community care in order to combat racism and transphobia in the entertainment industry. deladurantaye has shown their work at the 2019 Prague Quadrennial PQ Studio exhibition, and the Detroit Institute of Art. Past costume design work includes Liberty's Secret, a film that explores the clash between politics and queer love. Upcoming design work includes the dance floor, the hospital room, and the kitchen table, a new play that stitches together stories about queer care from COVID-19 and the early years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, to be presented at the Drama League in New York City, and the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center.
