Haley Silver
Costume Design, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, she/her
As a Los Angeles native, Silver spent her entire life in close proximity to perhaps the most artistically significant city in the world and has subsequently developed a deep love and appreciation for storytelling of all kinds. She received her BA in theater with an emphasis in design from UC Santa Cruz, where she was the recipient of the Priscilla Newton Scholarship. As an undergraduate, she worked in theater companies across the Bay area such as Santa Cruz Shakespeare, San Francisco Playhouse, Marin Shakespeare Company and Jewel Theatre Company, among others. Since moving back to L.A., she has worked on numerous film and television projects, taught a costume design workshop for high school students through Cal Arts Community Arts Partnership and is currently employed at LA Opera as a costume assistant. She has a passion for the intersection of historical fashion and social justice movements, particularly women's and LGBTQ+ rights movements, and she hopes to one day teach costume design at the university level.
