Bottelsen has lived all over the United States, most recently in the Northeast. In 2016, she graduated from SUNY Oswego in New York. She found her passion for design when she took a sewing class while finishing her undergraduate degree in film. After graduation, she began working in theater professionally, running wardrobe for Goodspeed Musicals and designing for local productions.
