A Los Angeles resident and Southern California native, Trutanich is a costume designer and technician with experience in film and both professional and academic theater. As a costumer, she has worked with The Hollywood Fringe Festival, Long Beach Playhouse and California Repertory Company; this summer she will be heading to the East Coast to work with New York Classical Theatre. Trutanich believes that to be a successful designer, one must try their hand at all aspects of art, and because of that, she has special skills in corsetry, millinery, costume crafts and tailoring. She believes wholeheartedly in finding the magic in the ordinary and in the importance of designing with a sense of humor.
