Ma is a scenic and production designer from Taiwan, now based in both New York and Taiwan. She is interested in exploring the relationship between characters and the environment and involving the audience's participation in storytelling. Because she comes from a different culture and has a background in literature, her approach to design is interdisciplinary and inclusive.
