Adam Parrocha
Scenic Design, San Diego State University, he/him
Parrocha hss received his MFA in design and technology for the theatre. His scenic design credits at SDSU include She Kills Monsters, Más, Despierta! and the production design for the films Sucker for Love and Number Games. His integrated media designs include Dog Sees God and Chess in Concert. Additional scenic design credits include The Mental State (Palomar College) and Lend Me a Tenor (Vanguard Theatre). He was nominated for an ACT Aubrey Award for Outstanding Scenic Design for the latter production. Parrocha has been a two-time semi-finalist in the Imaginations competition for Walt Disney Imagineering and was recently awarded the President’s Award for the Creative Arts at the Student Research Symposium at SDSU. Previously, he worked at Sea World in San Diego where he painted real bamboo to look like bamboo and designed sets and props for sea lions, otters and, occasionally, people.
