Patricia Witt is a Chicago native and soon-to-be graduate of AFI's 2022 Production Design class. Based in Los Angeles, she is interested in set design, set decoration and graphic design for film and TV. She received her BFA in Communication Design from Washington University in St. Louis. Following graduation, she worked for three years as a graphic designer at Foote, Cone & Belding, a global advertising agency in Chicago. Her introduction to the film art department began with a "Graphics for Film Workshop," led by Annie Atkins, where she discovered the joy of merging graphic design and the world of entertainment. Patricia has been the Production Designer on seven short films and the Art Director on many of her peers’ projects. She recently finished production on her AFI Thesis film, GorditX, which won $15,000 from the Bridges/Larson Foundation at the AFI inaugural pitch event. She is excited to learn more from the industry as she continues to pursue work in the art department.
