Natalie Ferguson

Natalie Ferguson is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes visual art, installation, production & set design, and experimental film. Her work has been shown at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCA), aceartinc., Forth Projects, Graffiti Art Gallery, Manitoba Center for Craft, Magenta Gallery as part of the Flash Forward Photography Biennale (2010), Platform Gallery and Semai Gallery. Ferguson and her collaborator Toby Gillies were artists-in-residence at the Art Gallery of Ontario in 2019. She was scene designer for the live adaptation of the film Cries & Whispers (2021), produced by the CalArts Center for New Performance and directed by Genevieve Fowler. She was production designer on You iii everything else (2021), a feature film by Christine Zivic, as well as A Distant Land (2022), a short film by Iris Ma. Most recently, she was production and costume designer on Amy Chiao's piece, Managing post~CORP(or)*%aTE styles at California Institute of the Arts. Ferguson’s background in community art informs her work, based on human relationships and our relationship to food and nature. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
