Anton Volovsek is a scenic designer, artist and theater maker currently based in New York. Although primarily a scenic designer, Volovsek has delved into writing, producing and devising new work. Most recently, he founded New Phase Collective, a multidisciplinary group of theater artists. He is ecstatic to work with new theater makers on projects that push the boundaries of the minds of all parties involved from the producers to the audience to the creative team. Recent design credits include Hype Man (The Flea Theatre & Battery Park City), Real Housewives of the Restoration, King Charles III (NYU Grad Acting and Design), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (City College of New York), The Women, Rapture Blister Burn (Stella Adler Studio of Acting), Odd Day Rain, The Perfect Monster, Game Changers (TADA! Youth Theater), Curse of the Starving Class (PTP, Williamstown Theatre Festival) and A Man of No Importance (University of Michigan). Selected associate credits include Blue Ridge (Adam Rigg, Atlantic Theatre Company), Blue Man Group Speechless Tour (Jason Ardizzone-West, Blue Man Group), Sweat (Wilson Chin, The Public). He received his MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and his BFA from the University of Michigan. Go Blue!
